Tips To success

You may be smart, you may be talented, you may be handsome, but you aren't successful. After all, the guy that never was that gifted or never had great ideas and he has less brains than you, is now your supervisor!

How did that happen? Why do all of us with the knack to be great, never saw our dreams come true? And what is the common characteristic between successful people?

According to statistical researches, what divides successful people from non-successful is that the former had a particular goal in their life and worked hard to achieve it. On the contrary, people that had many goals and ideas, but spent more time talking about them than working on them, never managed to make their dreams come true.

Teenage Emotions & Acne

Emotional reactions to acne depend on the severity of the symptoms and signs. Since we all know the skin with acne deviates from the concept of beauty and specially in teenage sufferers may lead to embarrassment, reduced self esteem, social isolation, guilt, anger and even frank anxiety and depression. It is noted that the more disfigurement accompanying the acne the higher the anxiety levels.

Acne can have a (negative) psychological impact that can lead many teenagers to walk around carrying negative self-images that can stick with them and affect their beliefs and actions for the rest of their lives.

Parents can be the crucial piece of the puzzle. Sensitivity from those closest to them can help teens be more self-accepting and do less self-flagellation for some supposed fault. Parents who tell their kids that they are beautiful, precious and special can provide an important psychological bridge over these turbulent feelings. Taking some "mirror time" to see beyond the pimples – while doing some positive self-affirmations can help too.

In more severe cases, supportive psychotherapy or hypnotherapy can benefit any teenager who is willing to put in the time and the effort. It will be worth it.

Secrets of Teaching Yoga

What you are about to read applies to teaching, in general. In fact, we are all teachers, to some degree. You teach your friends, co-workers, strangers and family members on a daily basis.

The example you set teaches someone in some way. Whether you are a positive role model, or not, people, and the world, react to you. Sorry to say, you have more responsibility than you thought possible.

Do you realize that when you hurt one person, it will set a chain of events into motion? Even worse is that, most violent acts were stimulated by smaller, seemingly unimportant events.

When you talk to your students, always show mutual respect. Don't take advantage of your position as a Yoga teacher to temporarily feed your ego.

The first thing a Yoga teacher should instill, in his or her students, is self-motivation. The serious Yoga student must be a self starter. This is a person who practices Yoga at home, as well as in class. They don't depend on their friends to come to class, and they show up like "clockwork."

How can you make your Yoga students become self motivators?

You must show up to class early, enthused, and energized. Encourage all of your students and sincerely praise their achievements. The truth is, Yoga is like music, you can teach a student the basics, but to be a master teacher, you want to stir the creativity from within.

When your students become creators, you can help them refine their Yoga practice and watch them become self motivators.

A truly great teacher will produce teachers, who surpass him or her; and isn't "passing the torch" what it's all about?

What Makes Thosiba So Good

Toshiba laptops have a well-deserved reputation for being some of the best laptops in the world. But what makes them so good?

Well, first of all, Toshiba laptops are very sturdily built. If you drop one, it won't usually break, nor will they break through normal wear and tear like cheap Dells can – Toshibas don't get cracked cases and have keys fall off the keyboard, and if they ever did then Toshiba would fix it very quickly. This high build quality is important to people who will have their laptop for a long time, as well as people who travel around a lot with their laptops and so need to take them as luggage on planes.

Keep Fit With Essential Fatty Acids

Why should I increase my Omega fatty acid intake?
Our intake of essential fatty acids has changed radically in the last century. Our ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 should be close to 1:1, but it is now over 10:1 and up to 20:1. This is due to the addition of corn, sunflower, safflower, sesame and other Omega-6 oils to our food supply. Such excesses are thought by many scientists to be a factor in a number of chronic medical conditions including arthritis, cardiovascular disease, asthma, acne, obesity and depression. It is clear that we need to increase our intake of Omega-3 fatty acids and decrease our intake of Omega-6 (linoleic acid) oils. By doing so we will be, look and feel healthier.

What are good fats and bad fats?

Glyconutrients - My Personal Story

How could this be happening? Our dog (Storm) just received her one year checkup in June and was given a clean bill of health. In shock by the news, we refused to put Storm down and defied the recommendation of our vet oncologist.

What followed could only be described as a long exhaustive internet and phone search for cancer alternatives for dogs. After 100 hours of research in two weeks, we stumbled across a homeopathic vet in our area. What we learned was shocking.

Dogs like humans - even puppies who are barely adult dogs are exposed to triggers every single day that can kick off a serious of unfortunate health events. These triggers can come from the air we breath, the water we drink, the food we eat, and the vaccinations we take to stay healthy - yes even vaccinations can be a trigger to cancer.

Cleft Palate

INTRODUCTION
Head and neck formed by some of the bumps and curves, among other frontonasalis processus, processus Nasalis medial and lateral, processus maxillaries, and mandibular processus. The failure of the unification processus processus Nasalis medial maxilla and will lead to openings in the lip (labioschisis) the unilateral or bilateral. When the processus medialis Nasalis, which forms part of two segments of the maxilla, then there is a gap failed to converge on the roof of the mouth or langitan called palatoschisis.1
Cleft palate is a congenital anomaly or palatoschisis on the face where the roof / langitan from the mouth of the palate does not develop normally during pregnancy, resulting in the opening (cleft) palate do not fuse until the Nasalis cavity area, so there is a relationship between the nasal cavity and mouth. Therefore, in palatoschisis, children usually drink at frequent choking and nasal voice. Cleft palate can occur on any part of the palate, including the front of the mouth of sky that is the hard palate or the back of the mouth is the soft palate. 2.3
Cleft palate has a large number of functional and aesthetic implications for patients in their social interactions, especially their ability to communicate effectively and their facial appearance. Correction preferably before the child begins to talk in order to prevent disruption of speech development. Counseling for the child's mother is very important, especially on how to give drink to the child adequate nutrition when children will undergo reconstructive surgery. Congenital abnormalities should be handled by a team of experts is comprised of surgeons, pediatricians, experts who will follow the development of orthodontic jaw with teeth, and experts who oversee and guide logaoedic ability bicara.1
EMBRYOLOGY
Facial tissues, including the lip and palate derived from migration, penetration, and fusion of mesenchymal cells cranioneural head. The third major protrusion on the face (nose, lips, palate) in embryology from facial processus pooling bilateral.4
Palate embryogenesis can be divided into two separate phases of primary palate formation which will be followed by the formation of the secondary palate. Growth of the palate begins approximately at day 35 of pregnancy or week 4 of pregnancy that is characterized by the formation of facial processus. The unification of the processus medialis processus Nasalis maxillaries, followed by unification of the processus lateralis processus Nasalis Nasalis medial, enhance the formation of the primary palate. Failure or damage that occurs in this processus pooling process leading to formation of a gap in the primary palate. 3
Secondary palate formation starts after primary palate perfectly shaped, approximately 9 weeks of pregnancy. Secondary palate is formed from the growing bilateral side of the medial part of processsus maxillaries. Then both sides will meet in the midline with the lifting of this side. When it develops towards the superior side, the process of unification started. The failure of this union will lead to the formation of a gap in the secondary palate. 3

Epilepsy

I. INTRODUCTION
Epilepsy is known as one of the well-known diseases in the world (2000 years BC). In Indonesia the disease has been long known in the community, as evidenced by the existence of vernacular terms for these diseases such as convulsions, epilepsy, and piggy banks, although such an understanding of this disease is still lacking. Inherent belief in many countries stated that epilepsy is a disease of the curse of God, so that patients not treated or even hidden.
Epilepsy seizures are a manifestation rather than an excessive loss of electrical charge of the central nervous system neurons. Epilepsy manifests as brain disorders with different etiologies but brush with a single typical symptoms, a chronic disorder that is not only characterized by recurrent seizures (seizure), but also a variety of media and psychosocial implications.
Based on extensive and focused part of the brain attack, epileptic seizures can be classified:
a. Partial (focal): due to cessation of electrical charge in one place or more localized and not spread to other parts of the brain. Partial seizures are divided into simple where consciousness undisturbed, complex seizures which affect awareness, and partial seizures followed by generalized seizures.
b. General: usually has a focus which then spread to other parts. Manifestation of symptoms initially involve both hemispheres.

Locked-In Syndrome

Among the many patients with stroke or other lesions, Physicians should look for patients suffering from locked in syndrome. This case is rare but it is very important considering the patient's condition is unknown, kuadriplegia, lay hold on temapt sleep, and completely dependent on others. However, patients still have a very limited capacity of cognitive capacities that are still intact and able to communicate by moving his eyes. In other words, the patient can not move his body at all (locked) but still has the mind intact.
Locked in syndrome is usually derived from the base Pontis infarction or medulla. Usually caused by thrombosis and embolus originating from the branching arteries basillaris.
Some of the peripheral nervous system diseases such as bulbar lesions, can cause the Lock-in Syndrome. For example, myasthernia gravis, ALS, Guillain Barre syndrome, and other SST disease.

Etiology and mechanisms of schizophrenia

1. Heredity: The existence of hereditary factors that determine the onset schizophrenia. this was evident in research on families with schizophrenia and especially children, twins one egg. Morbidity for the half-brother: 0.9 to 1.8%, siblings: 7-15%, for children with either one parent who suffered from schizophrenia 7-16%, if both parents suffer from schizophrenia: 40-68% , for two-egg twins: 2-15%, for twins one egg: 61-86%.  The potential for schizophrenia derived through a recessive gene, this potential may be strong, maybe too weak, but then it depends on the environment  Individuals that would happen whether or not schizophrenia.
2. Endocrine: used to be mistaken for schizophrenia is caused by an endocrine disorder. This theory is put forward by the frequent onset of schizophrenia at the time puberties, time and time to pregnancy or per
i climacterium, but this can not be proven.
3. Metabolism: Due to metabolic disorders, schizophrenia patients appear pale and unhealthy. Extremities end rather cyanotic, decreased appetite and weight loss.

Reducing the risk of coronary heart disease

Reducing the risk of coronary heart disease
For some doctors in affluent countries the first question about prevention of coronary heart disease (CHD) nowadays is whether to write a prescription for one of the statins (simvastatin, pravastatin, fluvastatin, atorvastatin, etc) which inhibit an early step of cholesterol biosynthesis in the body (seep 7). Tables are available to show whether the 5- or 10-year risk justifies the cost of long term statin medication, but the relation of diet and CHD is still of primary importance for the majority of people. What we eat is bound up with the aetiology of CHD. Many people do not know their current plasma cholesterol, many coronary deaths occur before medical help and most countries cannot afford these expensive drugs. Coronary heart disease is the largest single cause of death in Britain and the disease that causes most premature deaths, but it is only one-seventh as common in industrial Japan and rare in the masses in most developing countries. Its incidence must be environmentally determined because immigrant groups soon take on the incidence rate of their new country and there have been large changes in mortality over time. Coronary heart disease was uncommon everywhere before 1925 and then increased steadily in Western countries until the 1970s, except for a dip during the Second World War

Myasthenia gravis

A.      Description
Weakness and progressive fatigue with exercise are the hallmarks of generalized myasthenia gravis. However, diplopia may be the only symptom of ocular myasthenia, and the pupil is never involved. Muscle wasting may occur late, but it is not prominent. The course is variable and marked with remissions and exacerbations, which makes evaluation of the therapy difficult. Most patients reach maximum severity of their disease within 1 year, but a few progress over several years. Classification into several general groups helps to predict the course and to determine the type of therapy. Choice of therapy depends on the individual case; some respond easily to a single modality, whereas others require all modalities used in tandem or together.

1.       Group I. About 14% of patients have ocular myasthenia only.
2.       Group IIA. Mild generalized myasthenia with ocular signs.
3.       Group IIB. Moderately severe generalized myasthenia, with mild bulbar and ocular involvement.
4.       Group III. Acute severe myasthenia, with bulbar and respiratory complications. Tracheostomy is required.

5.       Group IV. Late severe myasthenia, usually developing from other groups within 2 years.
